Platinum SEO Vs All in One SEO For WordPress Websites

WordPress has a number of plugins for Search Engine Optimization (SEO). There are two main plugins that most sites use which I’ll discuss in this article. Read on and you’ll come away with a better understanding of which one might be best for bringing more traffic to your dental office website. Platinum SEO and All in One SEO Pack are the leaders in the SEO Plugin category for WordPress. All in One SEO has been around longer and in fact Platinum SEO was built to function practically the same as All in One SEO. They are almost identical, but Platinum SEO made some important improvements. So why choose one over the other? Personally I’ve chosen to use Platinum SEO for the following reasons:

Platinum SEO feature a setting to Automatically do 301 redirects for permalink changes. This means that if you change the Permalink of one of your web pages, it will put some code in a special “.htaccess” file that tells Google, other search engines, and any backlink traffic, that the old page URL should now go to the new one.

Perhaps my biggest reason for going with Platinum SEO is that it allows me to give a single page a “noindex” setting to keep search engines away from a page I don’t want listed. ALl in One SEO does not have that feature.

It has a number of other “on-page” settings and options that All in One lacks, which gives you more control for each and every page you create. You can leave the basic settings in place so you are not having to set up each page one by one, but if you want to tweak something it’s all right there on your page editing screen.

Okay, this one is a bit nit picky, but it did figure in to my decision to switch. All in One SEO is riddled with advertisements and requests for donations. Nothing wrong with that and almost all plugins do it, but All in One is a bit over board with it.

If you’re already using All in One SEO, Platinum SEO has the ability to migrate all of your current settings into it’s own setup, so you can do a quick and easy migration of your page title tags, page descriptions and keywords. So in closing, the main reason I made the switch was for the ability to set a single page as “nofollow” to keep search engines from indexing it. Aside from that they are both about the same, and appear to do equally good jobs at SEO.…

What CMS is Suitable For You?

I decided to build my website just three months ago. I was so confused about what CMS I should use to build my site. Because it was my first time to build a website, I searched online and the internet told me WordPress, Joomla and Drupal are the three most popular free CMS, in other words, you can get support from official forum or internet easily if you use a popular CMS. Drupal can be built for any types of website, but it is really difficult for a newbie, so I did not choose Drupal. So Joomla and WordPress left, I had a plan that built website with Joomla and blog with WordPress, as the most people did.

Then I spent one month learning how to use Joomla, it is so complex to configure. If you want to publish a nice layout article, there are too many steps you need to configure correctly. You have to install extensions to implement some basic functional. You have to set font and font size every time for each article. And sometimes read more tag did not work at all because a bug of it. In this case, right side module was moved to left side, and left side module was moved to bottom, it made me crazy. Finally, I gave up Joomla and selected WordPress to build my site. Because my website is so simple, I do not need the complex function.

So I give you some basic tips on how to choose a suitable CMS for build a website:

1. Choose a free and popular CMS, you can get any support easily from official forum.

2. Choose a simple CMS if you are newbie. It is just a waste of time spending time on how to configure the CMS itself.

3. Choose a simple CMS if your site do not need complex function. Joomla has too many choices, but it is too complex, any wrong step will make you fail, sometimes we just want a good default set and no fail.
